Santa brought Emma a new baby doll and a crib, high chair, and stroller. Uncle Jeff got big smiles for a Princess Sophia doll and tool set. And Emma took to her new Sit and Spin like she'd been doing it for years. We were really spoiled this year!

Christmas with the Cooks, Part 1

Christmas morning was spent with the Cook family. Emma's big gift was a play kitchen from Grandma and Grandpa, along with all the culinary supplies and food she needs to be a great chef. She made a beeline for the kitchen as soon as she saw it and started cooking right away!

Christmas with the Bevingtons, Part 2

Emma loved her new school bus ball pit from Aunt Lolo, golf clubs from the Kutners, fairy wings from daddy, a remote control school bus from Memere and Poppy, and her new fur coat from Great Memere. Now we just have to find some room for all this new stuff!

Christmas with the Bevingtons, Part 1

We celebrated 2 fun-filled, pre-Christmas days at Memere and Poppy's house. Sunday afternoon we saw the Skins add another win to their season and braved the chilly temps for a trip to the playground. Christmas Eve was all about opening presents, church services and playing with all our new toys!

We met good friends Matt and Heather and their little boy Isaac for a walk in the park at Meadowlark Gardens in Vienna. Beautiful colors and a spectacular setting!

Our little Emma has quite the singing voice for her age, but it's hard to capture on camera. Emma LOVES looking at pictures and videos, especially of herself. So when a camera comes out, she wants to see what's on it before we've had a chance to tape her. In a rare moment, she decided to serenade us tonight. There's nothing sweeter than this!

There was a time when Emma thought everything was a phone ... and now she uses Chris' iPhone like a pro. Chris compiled these videos over about a month and edited them together. It's several months old, but it still gives us a good chuckle.

Austen Girl

Mommy is hoping to instill her love of classic stories and films to Emma while she's young. Emma received the toddler version of "Pride and Prejudice" from her friend Addie for her birthday, and she's really starting to get into it. More importantly, she's familiar with the dashing Mr. Darcy! Mommy can't wait to watch the 1996 Colin Firth BBC version with her in the future!
